We often forget that everything in the "mind" is a product of our brain and biology. Therefore, being healthy physically is a crucial part of being healthy mentally. It's no surprise to me that those overweight experience less healthier brains. Thanks for this!

Where is your proof "Einstein's brain was tiny" ???
To say this is a pointless article is rude &, sorry for the pun, small-minded. The point of the author seems here to say NOTHING of intelligence -- it seems to be an argument you are trying to make.He is more to the point aligning that there is direct correlation between food/types of food consumption& brain degeneration.

That's kind of insulting for you, since statistically hypnosis is easier to perform on more intelligent individuals. :/

Pointless article. Obese people may have smaller brains, but that does not impact on intelligence. A bigger brain does not mean a person is smarter. More indepth studies have proved that the tighter the compartments of the brain, the more intelligent that person is. Einsteins brain was tiny, yet he was a great man, due to the point I've recently stated.

There is no data indicating proof of causation. That is why these studies are pretty useless without more data.

Just because giraffes have long necks and also live to be 25 years old, it doesn't mean one CAUSES the other.

I looked up the study. This study was performed on "94 elderly subjects who remained cognitively normal for at least 5 years after their scan."

So they all remained cognitively normal: there was no degeneration in their cognition regardless of their weight. The study strictly talks about brain volume. And it came up with overweight as having a correlation with reduced volume, not as a cause of reduced brain volume.

Also, you made the statement "Don’t let the fact that all participants were over 70 distract you; this shows the effects of being overweight over time." Where in the study did they say how long these 94 test subjects had been overweight or obese? I could not find it.
Thanks in advance,
